1.    Responsible authority, bases, purpose
All personal data involved will be stored and processed by us in compliance with the relevant data protection regulations, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the Telemedia Act (TMA). The legal bases for processing personal data are Articles 6 (1) point (a), (b) and (f) GDPR and §15 TMA.
Whenever data can be entered on our website, such as when requesting a quote, subscribing to a newsletter or using a contact form, certain fields are marked as "mandatory information". With these fields, we collect only the data required for contractual performance or to implement the desired action. Of course, you can provide us with additional data if you like.
Your personal data will be used and stored in order to perform the contract with you or to implement the desired action (such as making a quote or answering a contact request) and for promotional purposes (please also read paragraph 2 below). As soon as the personal data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose, it will be deleted. Where statutory retention requirements exist, the data will be blocked until the expiry of the retention requirements and then deleted.
2.    Promotional activities; e-mail newsletters in particular
You may object at any time to the use of your personal data for promotional purposes in writing, by fax, by e-mail or by telephone - in each case with effect for the future - or revoke any consent given to us in this respect.
In particular, this applies to e-mail newsletters with information on our products and services, for example. We only send you e-mail newsletters if you have consented to the use of your data for this or if we have a legitimate interest (in particular for direct marketing) pursuant to Art. 6 (1) point f GDPR. You can unsubscribe from an e-mail newsletter at any time with effect for the future either by pressing the link provided in each e-mail newsletter or by contacting us via the contact details provided.
3.    Transfer of data to third parties
Your personal data in principle will only be disclosed to those individuals involved in handling your request, processing your order and sending the newsletter. A transfer of your personal data to third parties occurs only to the extent required for the purpose of fulfilling the contract, or you have expressly consented to the disclosure or the data protection law allows for such. However, only the required data will be transferred.
4. Rights of those concerned
Under certain conditions, you have the right to receive information free of charge about the data we have stored about you, to have incorrect data corrected and to require the deletion or restriction of processing and the transferability of your personal data. You may object to the processing of data for direct marketing at any time; as well you may object to the processing of data based on Art. 6 (1) point e or f GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation at any time with effect for the future.
In some cases, however, we are not permitted to completely delete user data, due to legal retention requirements. We would also like to draw your attention to your right of appeal to the Baden-Württemberg State Commissioner for the Protection of Data and Freedom of Information.
5.    Use of Cookies
We use cookies on various pages so that you can navigate the website and use its functions, where applicable for example when accessing password-protected areas. Without these cookies, we cannot provide you with certain services requested by you (Article 6(1) point 1(b) GDPR).
Pursuant to Article 6(1) point 1(f) GDPR, we also use cookies to improve the functionality and service of the website, to compile statistics on how our website is used and to see how effective our marketing campaigns are. In addition, cookies make it possible to remember previous information about a visit (such as user name, language) in order to provide customized services to the user. 6.    Logs
When you access our page, the access data is stored on the server. This includes data such as the browser type and version, the operating system used, the web page previously visited, the server request's access date and time, and the client's file request (filename and URL). We use this data for statistical evaluations, anonymized so that no attribution to the respective user occurs. The purpose of this data processing is to enable the website to be accessed and displayed correctly on your device and to optimize our website. In this respect, there is a justified interest on our part. The legal basis for this processing are Art. 6 para 1 point f GDPR and § 15 TMA.
